Yes smallroompro correct, I'm using it as a fail safe for any missed hits/hits that just dont sound quite right. And also it'd be nice to make samples from the kit to use on other mixes down the road for replacement. Lets say if i was strictly just recording a kit I wanted to make samples...

Hey all, I'm about to be sampling my first kit to use as reinforcement for the recorded tracks. How do you guys go about this? My plan is to record roughly 20 different hits of different velocities on each drum, and then drag the most fitting one over the drum tracks to the desired spots...

I haven't tried too many buss comps out but i do use this one on the drum buss and also in mastering. Absolutely love it

also, the bass was recorded through an swr 4x10 cab and a vintage acoustic 4x12 bass cab, sm57 on the 4x10 and the SM7B on the 4x12 cab, and then also a d.i.

Hey guys I've always used my mxr m80 pedal to grab the overdrive i'd like on my bass, this time around though I opted to record it clean and take care of that in post. Any plugin suggestions for getting a nice growly bass sound? Freeware is a plus but I'm open for anything. tHANKS!

okay thanks for the reply. One other question is how do I tell it to turn on or off the different algorithms? the palette just has a selection for each doesnt really tell me how to designate them.

Hey all, I'm getting familiar with sonar's audiosnap (playing around as well as watching tutorials). After I edit a clip and get it sounding how i want, I either freeze it or bounce it to a clip so it renders and I can take it into V-vocal. When I bounce it or freeze it it doesnt sound...

thats what I was kinda thinkin, i've used it before at the college i attend and it seemed like a great mic for the price. thanks guys
