At Fame in Amsterdam they still have the album on vynil. But no CD to be found. Unfortunately I can't play LP's so it wouldn't make any sense buying it.

I'm probably gonna be at tivoli only. It's the closest to where I live, and there's a good train connection to Utrecht from where I live.

I find all my CD's in Amsterdam. Either at Fame or the Boudisque. Guaranteed that you find the Opeth CD you want. My problem is that I always go there and end up with luxury problems. Too wide a choice... so I always walk out of the store with the CD I didn't plan to purchase.

Since when is Opeth depressing? Seriously, I don't expierience Opeth's music as being depressive. To me Opeth kinda creates soundscapes, just lay down and let them take you to another world. If you want depressive listen to My dying bride, that's depressive!

Opeth has been my favorite band for a while, not so long ago actually. But right now they bore the shit out of me. I'm more into doom metal and alikes now, and also I'm kinda rediscovering the 80's.

I don't know who to cheer for. I should cheer for Holland as I am Dutch, but I can't stand our players. And the Scottish are a lot friendlier and they deserve it more. Yea, I think I'll be dressing up in blue next wednesday... Hehe

I don't think it is depressive music I listen to, rather it is sad. And I think it just makes me feel good, it's like this bit of understanding. I'm not the person to talk about all the shit that happens, but this is a perfect way of drowning sorrows.

I suffer this horrible syndrom that I always go to a CD-store knowing exactly what CD to buy, and I end up leaving the store with something totally different. Today I left the store with a Skyclad ablum. Guess I won't get my hands on it until I'm not in an Anathema mood.

Ha... don't play Opeth. They only become interresting after multiple listens. I was way into metal long time before I started appreciating Opeth. Now Bloodbath would be a better choice if you really want to give him that little bit of Opeth. Brutal and easy to get into.

Bought lateralus one day but it doesn't work for me. It's kinda like a melting pot of sounds. The drums, the guitars, the voice... they are all great in their own right but when they blend together they sound like one. The blend together, like listening to waves break. Nothing really stands out...

I hope they don't think too highly of themselves. That's when bands start to produce crap. For me, I still like them. But face it... the last couple of albums felt like turds refusing to drop. It doesn't sound as natural and spontaneous as the first albums. Perhaps they don't care about what...

Hell no... The problem is, it has a great atmospheric opener and it just can't beat that one. The Moor really builds up for 10 straight minutes and it rules. And then it slowly goes downhill with every song. It is easy to get into in slowly starts to get boring instead of better and better, and...

Grmbl... I'm not gonna be seated at the Netherlands gig. If so I'm gonna rip it out of it's place and hopefully get a chain reaction going. Which reminds me... still gotta go get my tickets :loco:
