    Objector - Belgian Thrash

Objector is a (thrash)metal band found in 2007 in Antwerp, Belgium. Although we've been active for quite a while, we never got to the point that we were ready to jump on stage. In the past years we've had multiple drummers that deserted us, before we finally found our current stick-wielder. At...

    Autopsy - Severed Survival Cover

Thanks for the input! Could it be that the lack of dynamics is due to the fact that I only used one guitar and one guitar setting? Maybe I should use two totally different amp sims for the two tracks, so you have a more diverse sound?

    Autopsy - Severed Survival Cover

I'll do that first thing in the morning, since my recording computer is already shutdown (and I was just checking my e-mail on my laptop before going to sleep). To bad I don't have a bass, because I really miss that in the mix! Anyway thanks again for watching, listening and posting! I'll post...

    Autopsy - Severed Survival Cover

Thanks for the reply! I am sorry for giving so little info. The track is build up from the ground, so all guitar tracks are played by myself and the drums are generated with vsti. Guitar: Schecter Hellraiser (EMG 81) in C-tuning. One track hard left, one track hard right. Guitar for...

    Autopsy - Severed Survival Cover

Hey everyone, I have just recorded an Autopsy cover, please check it out and let me know what you think. Autopsy is one of those bands that sounds so brutal and raw, that it's hard to find that sound! Thanks in advance, Didier

I am starting a one-man-band à la Morbid Saint, Blood Feast, Dark Angel, Sadus,...

'Sup everyone? I play in a mid-tempo thrash/metal band and I have the feeling that I can't express myself enough with the songs we play. Every time I write a song it is to complex to play with my current band, since our drummer still had to learn a lot when he joined us. I enjoy playing with...

    Nick Crow 8505 and Reaper?

When you make a track in Reaper you can press the little icon that looks lake a 'windows map'. If you set up the fx on that track, they will also be applied to the tracks under that specific track

Advice for someone new in the recording world?

Yeah, I'm using separate tracks! I haven't been fooling around for a long time, so I probably did something wrong... Tonight I'll try to record some basic riffs over a DFH loop and post it here, so you can hear whether I'm doing it right or not! Should I use ampsims or podfarm?

Advice for someone new in the recording world?

Well, In boogex I load the S-preshigh impulse and deactivate the amp of boogex. And then I played around with the graphic EQ! The sound was decent, but a little dry and crunchy! But not comparable with all the sound I hear in the 'rate my mix'-topics. When I record 2 or 4 tracks with my POD...

Advice for someone new in the recording world?

Hi Everyone, First off all I want to say that I've been reading the Andy Sneap forum for a long time, so I ain't asking help without doing my 'homework' first!:) But I really don't seem to understand how to record properly, so hopefully you guys can help me out! I'll first sketch my...

    Death Metal/Mosh (DKFH/SoloC)

Nice sound man! How do you change the sound of the snare in DKFH?
