Wow. You can just HEAR it when a band has their shit together. Man, the ideas they're throwing around on their MySpace tunes are SWEET. Really, really good stuff all around. And the singer isn't that bad.
I'll keep this short. I love The Human Equation, but it took me a while. Not sure why, but I do recognize it for the genius it is.
Having said that, the new album, well...I'm listening to it obsessively. I don't care about 'fully utilizing' the singers, or whatever. I don't buy Ayreon...

During their signing session, Mattias had the new Morgibl Trio disc next to him. In his signing zeal, their drummer grabbed it and signed it.
Mattias: 'Dude, you just signed my CD.'
Drummer: 'That's not one of your CDs.'
Mattias: 'Not one of MINE. I bought this.'
Drummer: 'Oh...
No, I guess I just meant that he's hailed as like the Second Coming, or something, and he's great, but not THAT great. So it really has nothing to do with his ego - I don't mean to be unfair to the guy at all.

Hey Ken - just sitting here listening to 'Feel...' and still loving it after all this time. Is anything still cookin' with these guys? I know the singer left, but is the rest of the band still together?
