Hi guys!! I'm doing a cover of Wishful Thinking by Mr. John Petrucci. I know there's a lot of people here that are great on mixing so any advice would be great.:rock:

Settings for the TSS are: gain: 2.5 tone: 6 volume: 6 Impulse was thisone.wav, I think Dandelium posted a link in a topic. I didn't use any additional eq or compressors on the rhythm guitars. Only a little bit of eq on the lead guitar in the center (boost around 2.5k) and delay. L2 for mastering.

Settings for 7170: Mid = 0 Sweep = 9 o'clock The other knobs are default.

You don't have to use the preamps from gearbox for the guitar. If your using some vst plugin like 7170 you don't even have to load gearbox in your daw.

Do you have any suggestions for the drums tonewise?

Yeah I know, drums are to repetitive, but it was just for testing purpose. I will rewrite the drums once I start recording the hole song. The guitar chain is pretty simple, I was really surprised with the 7170 plugin. I tried them all and to me this is the best so far. Ibanez RG(stock V8 pickup)...

Finaly found the sound I was searching for, any comments or suggestions are welcome:rock:

I am not worried about my playing, I have been playing guitar for over 10 years actively and I know that my playing is not sloppy.

I know this what discussed a hundred times but what bothers me is: When you layer multiple guitars you get a feeling of reverb because of little differences in tracks. So is there some program or plugin to align the tracks?

Any suggestions how to align rythm guitar tracks to get that big wall of sound???
