I love Blaze's Iron Maiden work., particularly fortunes of war.

SHould he turn down the bass? It was my understanding that Het's tone was very bassy.

Kinda depends on what the rest of the band is doing and where on the neck you're playing, but you have enough tools to make a great sound. My best black metal sound has come from my Peavey VTM 60 plugged straight in. Peavey classic 50 also has some good sounds for metal, surprisingly. My 5150...
