I learned how to play the entirety of foregone Pt. 1 very quickly as I love the riffs, I have the whole song down except the solos which I straight up can't play (I shared a clip of me trying it a bit a few pages back). At the gates sounded awful in London last year. Disappointingly so. Not just vocals, the whole mix was off.

Character is the best DT album and I won't hear otherwise. STYE is weird, at its best it's brilliant, at its worst it's really not great. I like it, but I would say it's the weakest of the 00s albums.

They definitely released the better songs as singles. Having listened to the full album once now the only non-singl3s that have my interest are Pure Light Of Mind and In The Dark. Cynosure is also cool but it doesn't go anywhere. Props to Tanner's drums on it though.

Most universally positive reviews the band has got in a very long time. I'm expecting the rest of the album to be a mix of ITM and what we've heard. I'm okay with that.
