Im having similar trouble with my new interface, its not a firepod though. I got a mr816. I used to have a firepod though, and to get it running correctly I had to go to device manager and disable my internet drivers. Also the texas instrument firewire upgrade may be the key

I just bought a mr816x to replace my firepod, and as I expected im having trouble getting it to run smoothly on my computer. Does anyone else have this interface? I have found a few steps to follow to fix my problems, and I will post my results here as I work this out. Hopefully this will help...

Does zipping a folder of audio files degrade the quality of the files? I've read different opinions but nothing from an audio standpoint, but i've read that it is lossless. Anyone know?

This is my first mix for an ep im working on. Im looking for advice on areas to improve this mix. Drums are live tracked but shells are replaced with slate, and gtrs are podfarm. Do you guys hear any areas that could use improvement? Thanks...

i think the overal darkness kind of adds a good element to the song. i would just crank the bass. sounding good though. after listening a while il have to agree with the vocals being a little too confined with the autotune

the andy sneap forum is full of tips, just do a search for mastering

bass is very woofy on certain notes, try locating those woofy notes and use some multiband compression on those frequencies, ..vocals :ill: but i think fixing that bass tone will help the mix alot

plus making them yourself really doesn't take that long, and its nice to have some soldering skills as an engineer
