yup I do it the same way. It makes sense to edit the DI track, since it is a lot easier to edit this than the amp track. And ofcourse you don't have to look for clicks and pops later.

yeah! turning down the master pot helps... but is still not so good. I tried the TS9 infront of the POD and it helps also to clean the sound with my setup.

What I actually noticed is, that if I use my EMG-81 loaded guitars the POD is sounding kinda week... maybee the signal is just to hot for the POD. If I use a cheap guitar with a non active humbucker, the pod sounds much more full and focused. So 2 Tracks with a cheap guitar do sound still...
