Absolutely agree. Life is busy and not had nearly as much time with this record as would like but agree. And am hearing a ton of old school Amorphis here too, pre-Joutsen era, with a healthy dose of Under The Red Cloud which makes sense as UTRC felt like a new beginning anyways!...

Bought the digital today CD with bonus tracks should be arriving soon... Will require some repeat listens before settling on thoughts because Queen is definitely not instant and I'd suggest that's encouraging :) But what is instantly clear is that this is a darker, and arguably heavier record...

WBS summed things up fairly and have to agree, while DOTS trumps this Contingent only gets better and more exciting with each and every listen \m/ Less immediate and often a little hectic (on occasion leaves one yearning for some breathing space the likes of Back For More and Imperfectly...

Yeah thinking likewise. This record still getting a ton of my ear time and hoping now with new Fates close to release (and lead single very promising) that gives The Art Of Loss another shot of life (not that it should need it but here's hoping anyway)...

I had the advantage of not knowing the song too well already, but Say Something is a magnificent rendition of the original. Ray's typically emotive but adding Parker to the song was a stroke of genius, they sound perfect together for this track. Great choice of song, tbh I prefer it over Love...

Album now released and a few listens through VERY impressed! Is maybe slight more melody and less heavy than the last few (Promise And Terror fave of his last few), perhaps a step back to the sound of his first couple releases has worked a treat. Infinite Entanglement may well turn out to...

Nice review Tage absolutely agree with that score. My only minor gripe is would have preferred they swapped out Love Reign for another original and put both it and Say Something (excellent Parker duet with Ray on the bonus disc) together on disc2 but nitpicking at best :)
