If anything, I'd say your TH3 version sounds better honestly due to it being slightly less muddy.

I bought this Custom 24 off of a buddy for about half of what they cost new here in Canuckville. I bought a pair of KSM32's awhile back as well. They're incredibly realistic sounding.

I'd say both of these could work with processing (reduce some highs in mic 1 or some lows/low mid in mic 2). A blend of both of them might be really nice. I'm pretty sure 1 is the 250 and 2 is the 2500. I tried out the 2500 awhile ago, but found it to be too low mid heavy and muffled compared...

I'm loving KClip on snare, but still prefer FG-X or Pro-L on mixbuss. The clipper in The Glue (with max oversampling on mixdown) can sound very pleasing as well.

I've got a pair of these too and they're excellent. Very sturdy.

Driver stability is huge. Pretty much any RME product new or old should serve you well. Conversion quality, however, I think is highly overrated. I'm using the FF800 and an Apogee Rosetta 800 192. People online like to say how much superior the Rosetta is to the Fireface, but in my experience...

I have the Cloudlifter. Like Ericlingus said, it does exactly what it says. It's 20ish db's of clean gain (like you'd expect from a Millennia preamp). I've used it live with an Audix OM7 with great results. It brings the Audix up to the output of a normal dynamic. The slight pain in the ass...
