GLENN: LET'S GET SOME SWED-METAL TO PROGPOWER...

Crashdiet would BLOW MY FUCKING MIND!!! Hardcore Superstar would be incredible too! I'm sure most people here only want the straight on metal, but you've got my second on either of these (particularly Crashdiet). Hey and if you work with Crashdiet's label, how 'bout getting some cds and...

Quiet Riot's Kevin DuBrow dead at 52

That's just too sad. That guy really helped to pave a way for some of our favorite bands. :(

Interesting review of ProgPower USA on metalcrypt.com

Glenn, did you fuck this guy's girl in the restroom at Earthlink or what? :) Fucking douchebag. I don't always like the lineup but you just can't ever question, legitimately, the setup and the professionalism of this festival. That's what keeps bands excited to come over for it. That's...

    Sebastian Bach- Angel Down

"you don't understand" is simply killer! I NEVER thought this would be anything worth having but (thanks to downloading..and soon BUYING) I'll be "having" it. Knocked me out just like Jani Lane's "Back Down To One". Never expected it.

Would you still go to PP IX if...

Well, I'm out this year unless I see a Running Wild, Pretty Maids or Tiamat added and that's just not going to happen as a headliner at this festival. I'm totally expecting some sort of Fates Warning Prog thing or the US showing of Gamma Ray/Helloween for headliners. Either way, that doesn't...

    NEW LOUDNESS CD JANUARY...

From what I just saw, it's maybe a February release and it's currently untitled. Just pre-orders at the Japanese cd shops right now.

checked out Amon Amarth's openers for their MA show...

Really? I must have slept through the big "prog explosion" that you're referring to. Just because Megadeth carts around some prog heavy weights to try to get them some exposure does not mean that Prog is doing anything. But that's a different conversation for another time. You may be unaware...

checked out Amon Amarth's openers for their MA show...

Bands who don't sell go away (look at most of what you listen to). Bands that don't sell get pushed down the label into the "afterthought" category. Bands who sell get pushed. Seems quite relevent. I don't know, ask some of those shitty prog bands about it when they're drum and...

checked out Amon Amarth's openers for their MA show...

Sonic Syndicate will be the next European band to make waves in the USA. They write melodic songs. They are young and energetic. They are the real deal and I'll wager they'll outsell any bands like "Decapitated" by 3 to 1 before it's all said and done. You heard it here first.

P2P TORRENTS AND THE EVIL THEY DO

The bottom line for is: Stream it if you don't want it downloaded as easily and then offer it for sale. The problem there is that I don't think too many artists would want their material heard prior to purchasing it or they'd be in the same boat with few purchases. Product is just not up to...

P2P TORRENTS AND THE EVIL THEY DO

I'll argue that motherfucking point and I don't care who is there. Not that it doesn't hurt the industry but it's only one of numerous causes hurting the industry including sub-par recordings. I'm not an ass kisser unless an ass needs kissing and if you're going to charge me $19.99 for a cd...

    Avantasia Lost in Space Video

We're watching our guy taking steps to becoming a rock star. Guys who can write great song after great song will generally go that direction and so Tobias goes. Good luck to him and I personally love the new song for a first single.

P2P TORRENTS AND THE EVIL THEY DO

MTM had MUCH more than its share of bland lifeless bullshit. I like a lot of MTM releases, but for every one I liked, there were 4 that I wouldn't have spent $5 on. I just didn't bring it up because I liked that they at least released melodic music.

P2P TORRENTS AND THE EVIL THEY DO

What about the existence of used cds for 2 decades now? Nobody was claiming that "hurt" the industry like they are with downloading. Downloading is a nice scapegoat for lower sales because you can throw numbers right out there and spin them. That may be some of a problem but the rest of it is...

    DREAM PPUSA (BANDLIST)

In a former life they were more of a death metal band. Nowadays they are a melodic goth band with both clean and deathy vocals. I'd say since the cd "Act 7", they have really hit a nice melodic stride. Check out "The Fallen" if you can find that song anywhere! Maybe on the Nuclear Blast...
