How is adding a lame drum and bass beat progressive?

Love DADFAE(Dmadd9). You only have to tune 3 strings, and it's easy to do by ear.

Tough call on Deliverance, but I think it might just be double tracked 6 string acoustics. There is no 12 string in Reverie-Harlequin Forest, although the way he plays the first acoustic part kind of mimics the sound of a 12 string.

When is there sweep picking in GoP? Do you mean economy picking? The only clean/acoustic sweep picking I've ever heard in an Opeth song is the last 6 notes of the 3rd riff from Closure.

Opeth songs are not amazing because of how hard they are to play. They are cool because of how well written they are.
