10 Song Shuffle Game

My ten:

Norrin Radd - Four Lights
Realm - Knee Deep in Blood
Crypt of Kerberos - The Ancient War
Tuxedomoon - Desire
Lord Bane - Louange Au Prophete / Fawns
Abigor - Bloody Cross
Sepultura - Amen
Ohio Players - You and Me
My Sister's Machine - Steamy Swamp Thang
Pantera - Power Metal

Disapprove:

Honestly I don't know most of the bands, but Pantera fucking sucks and Sepultura has never done it for me.

Rush- Witch Hunt
Swans- (She's a) Universal Emptiness
Iron Maiden- Dream of Mirrors
Siouxsie and Banshees- We Hunger
Death- Voice of the Soul
Black Sabbath- Wheels of Confusion/ The Straightener
Slayer- Circle of Beliefs
Enslaved- Circular
Niyaz- Rayat Al Samud
Gontyna Kry- Nawia

Look, we all get that you don't like black metal. I don't know why you bring it up when it's totally irrelevant to the topic at hand. It's sorta like those old guys cry about how rap isn't "real music."

Megadeth - Holy Wars... The Punishment Due
Mastodon - Tread Lightly
Swans - Failure
Saint Vitus - Born too Late
Thin Lizzy - Angel of Death
Slayer - Tormentor
Dawnbringer - V
Magrudergrind - The Protocols of Anti-Sound
Revocation - No Funeral
Opeth - Face of Melinda

Revocation, Slayer and Megadeth are the only ones I am familiar with. I am not familiar with that Mastodon song, I lost interest in them after Blood Mountain.

Iced Earth - Path I Choose
Mastodon - Aqua Dementia
Sepultura - Escape to the Void
Korn - Shoots and Ladders
Amon Amarth - Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer
Flotsam and Jetsam - I Live You Die
Rage Against the Machine - Vietnow
Fear Factory - No One
Alice in Chains - Down in a Hole

I can get down with pretty much everything up there. Don't love any of it, but I can get down with it.

Hidria Spacefolk- Flora/Fauna
The Cough- A Year In Suffering
Danzig- The Hunter
Jimi Hendrix- Crosstown Traffic
Tom Waits- Table Top Joe
Moonspell- Herr Spiegelmann
Mitch Hedberg- Sesame Seeds
Moonspell- Firewalking
Dennis McCarthy- Picard's Plan/ First Chase
Orange Goblin- Beginner's Guide to Suicide

Honorable mentions to Tom Waits and The Cough, had they been different songs they may be bolded.

I really dig Danzig, The Hunter is one of my favourites off the debut. Hadn't really heard Cough, but that's my sort of thing. Hendrix is all good too.

I got a weird mix this time, some softer songs and whatnot.

Iced Earth - Consequences
Gaskin - The Day Thou Gavest Lord Hath Ended
Iron Maiden - Tailgunner
Motörhead - Vibrator
Persian Risk - Jane
High Tension - Summernights
No Quarter - Can You Feel It
Metallica - Hit The Lights (March 1982 demo)
Motörhead - Don't Let Daddy Kiss Me
Jealous Itch - To Wage A War

Samurai is a band I never got around to checking out, but that song sounds really good. Getting some Thin Lizzy vibes here, strong swinging drumming ala Downey and legit guitar harmonies after the verses as well. Will definitely check them out further.

You're probably thinking of the Welsh Samurai, I hadn't actually heard them until now. The Samurai I listened to doesn't have anything to check out, just tracks on the Roksnax compilation. On that note there's a few NWOBHM compilations like that worth checking out, particularly Roxcalibur and Scene Of The Crime. Lots of gems from bands who released very little else.

Nice list, I really like Motorhead and Iced Earth songs. I don't know Persian Risk and Jealous Itch tunes though.

Woods of Desolation - Like Falling Leaves
Shining - The Ghastly Silence
Dawnbringer - I
Beherit - Pagan Moon
Thin Lizzy - Angel of Death
Isis - So Did We
TSA - 51
Neurosis - To Crawl Under One's Skin
King Crimson - Epitaph
Edge of Sanity - Tears

Hell yeah @ King Crimson, Woods of Isolation, and Neurosis. Haven't heard enough from the others but what I remember from Isis was very promising.

Galatea, In this Place, and Set Me on Fire. In this Place has been a big favorite lately so that's always exciting on shuffle. Overall a good list but I really just need to get rid of Darkthrone, pretty sure I don't dig them.

Satan. Support.

First shuffle:

Bathory - Equimanthorn
Horrified - Early Dawn Enraged
Amon - The Morning of Black Magic
Acheron - Prayer of Hell
Soundgarden - Holy Water
The Chasm - Travelling Through Chaos (I, The Pastfinder II)
Algor - Vládca zimnej krajiny
Funebre - Spirits Bewail
Darkthrone - I en Hall Med Flesk Og Mjød
Fates Warning - The Ivory Gate of Dreams- VII. Aquiescence

This has at least reminded me to revisit Algor and Funebre.

A few tracks and bands i havent heard of, but still a pretty solid list.

Witchrist - The Cauldron
Christian Muenzner - Wastelands
Vasaeleth - Spirit of Noxious Miasmas
Kiuas - Winter is June
Destruction - The Damned (Plasmatics cover)
Realm - Eleanor Rigby (Beatles cover)
Origin - The Beyond Within
Artillery - Life in Bondage
Black Sabbath - The Wizard
Cannibal Corpse - Caged... Contorted

I'm pretty satisfied with my list.

Jeff Buckley - Dink's Song (Live) “Well, it's Jeff Buckley”
Abscess - Leech Boy “Great raw punk death. Heavy bass in the mix.”
Immortal - Circling Above In Time Before Time
Jimi Hendrix - You Got Me Floatin' “I've never listened to this, really. I can't complain about hearing it."
Elliott Smith - Southern Belle “Great song. It's one of my favorites by him.”
Charles Ives - A Sound of a Distant Horn “I love Ives, but this work isn't one of mention.”
Felix Mendelssohn - "Hier kommt er ja selbst" from Antigone“ "It's Mendelssohn and Antigone, how can you go wrong?”
Carcass - Genital Grinder “It's not a standalone song, but it's an introduction to a great album.”
Soundgarden - Limo Wreck “I'm not a fan of this album.”
Demigod - Embrace the Darkness/Blood of the Perished “I only just discovered this band with the recent spurt of “best album threads.” Great stuff.”

Good mix, I am familiar with most of the artists other than Smith, Ives, and Mendelssohn.

Bal-Sagoth - To Storm the Cyclopean Gates of Byzantium
Apoptygma Bezerk - Walk With Me
Fear Factory - Corporate Cloning
Destruction - Sign of Fear
Strapping Young Lad - Consequence
Pitchshifter - W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G.
Razed in Black - Blush
Van Halen - I'm The One
Tyr - Sinklars Visa
OhGr - Chaos

Don't mind Van Halen, I've listened to them a bit. Only heard a handful of songs from a few of the other bands. Saw Fear Factory outdoors at a festival this year but couldn't really hear the appeal, at least not in that setting.

Danzig - Unspeakable
High Tension - Touch Of Steel
Tankard - Deposit Pirates
Janine - Crazy On You
Black Sabbath - The Dark
Pantera - The Underground In America
Savage - The China Run
Samson - The Word
Mastodon - Halloween
Mercyful Fate - Dead Again

...well, 9 songs and an intro, that'll do.
