Too much compression going on. Guitars don't breathe

I'm not sure how to tastefully use compression/limiting. I get to commercial levels and the compression meter is steady and the limiter isn't showing any gain reduction. What am I doing wrong?

I sorted out my compression issue.. if any one has any more recommendations or help they'd like to offer please let me know! I put the new link in the original post.
