I've been looking for 14x6" Sonor Artists Bronze Series Snare samples. Just wondering if anyone has them to share?

I see these threads popping out every now and then and I keep wondering why someone would want

samples from a particular snare model knowing how the heads, the tuning, the gear used and the recording

environnement will always have a huge effect on how it sound. And I mean HUGE, like complete different

snare drums.

Not trying to be a dick.

I would have to disagree with 70% of your post. Every snare drum will have its own sound no matter what environment they're in or what equipment was used in the end, it's the same snare. If you take jens kidman (Meshuggah) give him a crappy mic and put him in a kitchen, he will still sound like Jens kidman.

Jeff Loomis in the street with a crappy amp, he will still sound like Jeff Loomis.

Ok if you say so...

After all I've only been recording acoustic drums for the past fifteen years...

And taking a singer or a (electric) guitarist as an example is totally relevant.

The musician adding is own sound is just another variable that proves my point.

You say a piece of equipement has its own sound. I'm not denying this , I'm just saying there are huge

variables for this specific instruments.

(kind of being a dick now haha sorry)

Haha I hope you didn't take me wrong, I've seen you around and Im sure you know a ton of info on drums. I hope I didn't come off a bit rude.

I have to agree with BURNY quite hard here. While it is true snares each have their own thing going on as far as how they sound different heads and tunings can make a snare sound almost 100% different.

People have posted on several occasions black panther snares and if you listen to them they don't even sound like the same snare on a snare to snare basis.

I agree with BURNY as well, musicians add their own tone and feel to something but its completely different then samples.. you might as well be asking for a snare sample that is being hit by Chris Adler expecting it so sound like every Lamb of God snare ever recorded. Yeah Jeff Loomis on the street sounds like jeff Loomis, some idiot playing his guitar.. doesn't sound like Jeff Loomis. There is a ton more variables to how a drum sounds then the shell or make, you've got tuning, heads, stick, the player, how it was recorded, the room it was recorded it, the quality of gear it was recorded with, the exact drum its self.. none are the exact same. I thought it would be a kind of a cool idea to get samples from somebody else of the same kit i had then replace.. but really they don't sound anything a like you should be looking for a sample that fits the tone of the kit you've recorded or in the mix properly. :)

I didn't completely disagree with him, I know equipment and environment plays a huge roll, I was just trying to say that the snare itself also plays an important part. Anyways I ended up finding the snare, A member on here is sending them soon :)
