If you have a single headed video card, replace it with a dual head card, or purchase a second video card for another slot in your PC/Mac. You can probably find an add on for a PCI type based card.

Once you have a second VGA or DVI port, just plug the second monitor in, and either Mac OS or Windows should recognize it in the Display/Monitor setup control panel type areas.

yeah more screen space is always fun, i was going to get dual 24's setup, but i ended up getting a 42" lcd, man, midi editing has never been so fun.
