I think next season will be more of what I wanted for this season, a very personal struggle for Jack, no outrageous plots or anything.
 
Pretty excellent! They totally had me fooled after the secret service came to the warehouse to get the prez. I'm thinking "how the hell is bauer going to get out of this one?" Course we don't see him plant that little eraser-sized transmitter. That thing must have pretty good battery life if they just planned to leave it on until he confessed to someone. BTW, that recording? Totally inadmissible under federal law, there's a little thing called marital privilege. /lawyer
Also wouldn't that one petty officer engineer guy still have had some kind of combat training, including training on how to kill a person? They should really hire a fact checker.
 
i dont think navy basic training is as strenuous/combative as the army and marines and stuff. like, i wouldnt be surprised if he didnt have to practice sneaking up on someone and cutting their throat.

SLOW BOAT TO CHINA!


We start off with Jack, Robocop and some CTU guy we've never seen playing
the roll of the Star Trek red-shirt guy. Thats where the guy in Star Trek who
always wears the wrong color shirt, always gets killed first.
Somehow, Chloe is able to patch Jack's cell phone through to the only surviving Navy guy on the sub. This Centox is amazing stuff because you can take out a whole shipload or building full of people,
then just flush it out and have safe air within minutes!
Meanwhile Chloe is running "simulations" that tell us that the missiles will launch in 8 minutes. Since when does it take 8 minutes to lauch missles on a
submarine???

The CTU team gets in after the wimpy navy guy gets the courage up to knife
the terrorist guard. Red shirt guy gets capped right away, and Jack ends up
in a fight with Bierko. He pulls that move that we've seen in so many action
films where he jumps up, grabs some pipes, then uses his legs to break
Bierko's neck.

Robocop, who is apparently perfectly fluent in Russian and knows how to work a Russian missile console,
disarms the weapons that were aimed all over California. All of this was necessary because the nearest fighter jets were 20 minutes away.
According to my math, that would have put them over
Seattle, or maybe western Texas.
Even though Robocop saved California, Jack can't forgive him and shoots him right on top of the sub.


Jack then comes up with an elaborate plot to kidnap the president.
The president is on his way to Arlington to give a speech about David Palmer who was shot early on. Did everybody notice how they mentioned Arlington???? finally!
He tells Mike and the first lady that they need to delay the president,
and the First Lady is able to accomplish this by sleeping with him. After they slept together the president kisses Marty on her shoulders and slaps her ass!!!
I heard it!
CTU makes up some fake paperwork for Jack, and he sneaks onto "Marine One" by impersonating a pilot.
He hijacks the chopper then takes the president to an "abandoned printing plant" in LA. He can't get a confession out of the president,
so he turns himself into the Secret Service.
Some wack job who used to be married to Chloe (who we never knew had an ex-husband in 5 years) helps Jack out with the electronics. He looks exactly like the type you would expect Cloe to ignore and hate, yet thats who she married to.

But get this! Jack was able to plant a microchip recording device on the pres' !
The president and his team fly from LA to Arlington in less than 10 minutes!
WOW! How did they do that, and how come the service begins at 6 am?!?!
Pres says some things that incriminate himself which are captured on the
microchip, then relayed to the attorney general by CTU. When the Attorney
General calls the secret service and tells them to arrest the pres, they
comply without asking any questions!
Jack, who made the trip east while under arrest is released
and reunited with Audrey, but then an Asian guy who is impersonating a Secret Service guy tricks Jack into taking a phone call from Kimmy,
and he is waylaid by the Chinese guys from last year!
They take him into a dungeon with these massive hanging chains on a ship just like in all those kong-fu movies!!!
They beat him up, the setup for season six. The last thing we see is Jack literally heading out to sea on a slow boat to China!
brillaint ending! even better than last year when he was walking on the train tacks towards the sunset!

Anyone else notice the commercial advertising bullshit during the episode? They had someone watching TV on a Sprint phone, and then there was a commercial for that same phone. Also, when Jack asked the cops for a car after killing Bierko, a brand new shiny Toyota or something pulls up. Assholes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who heard that! :lol: And did anybody else notice how... um... quickly they finished their business? Who would have guessed that the President would be a 2 pump chump?

They didn't go to Arlington. They had said earlier that the the Pres and his groupies would be going to the (airport/airbase) to give a speech when they loaded Palmer's body on the plane . They showed Palmer's casket getting loaded on the plane.


How is it that it was going to take the F-18's 25 minutes to get to the sub, but the marines or whatever can get to Jack less than 10 minutes after he takes control of the helicopter?

^ thats because you have MARINE 1 (the hellicopter the president flew in) and there are always 2 more hellicopter that escort the president call:
Marine 2 and Marine 3.... its not surprising it took them 10 minutes to get to jack, its surprising it took them 10 minutes to rescue the president
that they are suppose to protect!



As for the airport: They said they are flying to Arlington, and whenever an important person dies in the goverment, they have that ceramony in the airport called: Andrews Airport that is actually outside of DC on the maryland side.... so no, it couldn;t have taken them 10 min!!!
