Well maybe it is good to put out an eagle has landed volume 3 in the end of 2004? That would be a splendid 25th anniversary, or not. I want to hear Unleash the beast en Metalhead live version and you metalheads?

25 fucking years eh.I think I have been into them for 20 odd and I'm only 32.Also I read on the dvd the the eagle has landed was suppose to be a double it would great to hear the other half if they could find the masters.
If you talk of the Hammersmith recordings, then they are "out there" in trading circles. Sure i saw a boot somewhere called "The Eagle Has Landed Complete".WILKS said:

I hope that Biff reads this and makes this reality. And then after this volume 3, three years for a well decerved rest for the guys. They work like Stallions during 25 years give them a break, will you all ! Whith a studioalbum + volume 3 and the DVD past year we can fill those 3 years, so good would that be received by the saxon crowd!
Yo Thats not a bad old track listing for the Eagle3.Good mixture of old and new although I don't like forever free,but you can't have it all.As for buying the complete eagle on boot leg that would be fucking brilliant.Do you know if you can get the 1983 Donnington Monsters Of Rock show.

I tried to pick some songs from 85 and 86.
Theres a lot of tunes off Innocence and Rock the Nations that I'd love to hear the current Saxon line up do live.
I think this line up of saxon we have now is certainly the best and a live album would rule over the other 2 live albums they did.

Good point well made mr scumdawg.I think those 2 albums often get overlooked.One of my top 10 Saxon songs is battlecry and another would be broken heros.

A lot of the tracks that didn't make 'The Eagle Has Landed 1' have been on B-sides etc. Quite a few of them are on the 'Wheels Of Steel/Strong Arm Of Te Law' double CD.
Most of the songs that were on Eagle 1 arn't on Eagle 2. So I suppose if there was an Eagle 3, most of the songs on it won't have been on Eagle 1&2. But that's OK because Saxon have got a shed load of ace songs!

I thought they were the Hammersmith gigs Wilks. I haven't got the CD to hand at the moment so can't check up what it say's on the sleeve notes.
