5150 at work, Fredman technique

Here is a clip I made last night. Esp LTD EMG-81> TS9 > 5150 (green ch) homemade 1x12 cab (vintage 30) two SM57 (Fredman style)

Please don´t mind the sloppy playing at some points.

What do you think ?

I like it a lot... it's got a bit o bite. it's overpowering the mix

Guitars are nice. Perhaps a little less gain would help.... they're a touch on the fuzzy side.

Drums.... I like the kick a lot. Snare & toms are too scooped, making them sound a little small, to be honest.

BTW, what are you using for limiting? I love the bottom end of the kick....every time I limit something, it just kills the kick's bottom end.

"G-Clip" on the drum bus and "UAD Precision Limiter" on the master bus.

I agree on the "Gain" thing.

I think the problem is a combination of over-compression and too much gain. But nice tone anyways

Just place a low-pass filter at about 12khz (from 11khz to 14khz, it's a matter of tastes...) to eliminate the fizz

Mid = 3
High= 4,5
Res= 7
Pres = 8.5

TS9
Drive = 0
Tone = 2 o clock
Level = 12 o clock

i like it guitars a little on the fuzzy side reduce the fuzz or gain and you got the sound..

The noise right at the end of this track sounds like a bass Guitars sound great though dude, a little fizzy, but otherwise they sound great.

I can post a picture of the cab, it is ugly as fuck but its like a tank. I´m busy moving to an apartment so I`m not online that much but i will post some pictures of the cab a.s.a.p
