by request in another thread, here's a quick reamp of RoS DI's through my engl fireball 100.

this was a really quick job, dial in a tone that captures the amp's sound basic sound in the room pretty well, 1 sm57 in a basic sneap style position (v30 cab), hit record, done.
for shits and giggles i did the same with my 5150 I too (TS boost, lead channel). there's also a clip of a engl/5150 blend, 5150 being the 80LR pair lower in the mix.
none of these are stellar by any means (plus i suck at getting guitar tones, even though i'm a guitar player first and foremost i seem to struggle with judging guitar tones the most for some reason) but they highlight the difference between the amps and that's all they're supposed to do right now.
any requests as far as different settings, modes (there's a mid boost switch on the engl that changes the sound drastically, this clip was done without the boost btw), fredman micing or whatever, just tell me, i have some spare time today.

edit: forgot to mention, zero EQ on any of these.

Shiiiiiit.

Blended together sound stunning.

I think the engl by it self needs more low end, while the 5150 has more than enough.

But together... oh my:Smokin:

thanks for the comment!
tbh, i hate the backing track for that very reason. the bass is mixed SO loud and the whole thing is so bottom heavy that it's impossible to judge the guitars low end right, plus you sorta have to use a rather thin guitar tone or it's just too much.
the DIs however are very very good.
maybe i should have reamped the guitar tone competition files for this thread, since the backing track sounds much better on that one.

Didn't notice this first.
Thanks for the reamping!
Actually I ordered a fireball 100 yesterday :Spin:
I have to say maybe the 5150 sounds a bit better but I definitely like the FB tone as well. I've been playing on a powerball of a friend and I liked the modern 'ENGL' sound. Yesterday I played on a fb 60 w version and it's more my cup of tea than a powerball. I didn't have the upportunity to test a fb 100 version, but just ordered it since I'll probably end up liking it alot (I'm curious about how much different it'll sound than the 60 w version)
