Just switched over from my 5150 II to a block letter. On the block letter, at full gain the red and green channels sound almost identical. The red channel may have very slightly more fizz and scoop to it but they sound almost exactly the same. Is this normal? Im coming from the 5150 II and there was a world of difference between the red and green channels. Also I cant hear any difference when I turn the bright button on and off. Is my amp broken or is this normal?

Yes, thats what I like about it. I can dial in my Rythm tone on the red channel and set my leads up for green or vice versa. Who the fuck uses a clean channel nowadays ;)

I'm still have my 5150 II and I wanna keep the best set of tubes before I sell it. I have a set of Groove Tubes 6L6's in the 5150 and a set of JJ's in the II. Which ones are better? Both heads had EH 12AX7's so I'm keeping the set with 05 date code vs the 02 date code.
