I choose B because I think it would cut through a mix better. A has some stuffy sounding lows that would cloud up a mix.

Sounds like you are using the same amp settings with different mic positions, although I could be totally wrong. what did you do differently?

A for me.
Which mic did you use? sm57?

Yes, pretty close to dead center (between dead center and position 2A in fact). Regular 2cm from the gril.

cool, what kind of mic pre's are you using?

also, in both clips, the distortion seems a bit grainy in the top end. i would recommend using a little less presence and/or highs, or moving the mic away from the center a bit more.

I feel like B has more detail and clarity, which is cool, but it also accentuates some of the nasty grit (probably from the T75's :D), so I think I prefer A; with a slightly more off-axis mic position and possibly less presence, I might prefer B though! (I don't know T75's well enough to judge how much of the tone is coming from the speaker vs. settings) Cool stuff though dude, in a mix I bet it would rule

You are totally right Marcus, T75 give a really rawdy tone, lot of midrange...
Sound cool with some amp (rectifier) and for some tone but now I want to try different speaker so it's time to buy others cabs:D

I agree here!

Btw last reamp I sent was with B setting;)

I take it B is the higher impedance, btw?

According from focusrite manual no (Input Impedance = 2.5k/ 150 on Lo Z (Ch1 & 2))

I'm thinking to put 2 greenbacks on my marshall cab...I'm very curious about these speakers. I think they are the opposite of the t75: very low wattage where it's easy to move the cone instead of an high wattage speaker that sounds always like it doesn't move enough
