7 Horns 7 Eyes album sampler posted!

I'm going to buy this album when it comes out and brag to my friends that I "know" the main dude on an internet forum that I frequently frequent.

I like the effect on that second band pic you posted. And the setting looks so Northwest.

Northwest Represent! :kickass:

Hahaha, the Northwest indeed, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else :kickass: In that photo we're actually standing on logs and debris in a creek, with a bunch of water passing underneath. Luckily I didn't fall in, because that log was very wobbly!

And YouTube:

I'm thinking of putting together a video blog in my studio where I have one of the Pro Tools sessions from the album loaded up (probably from "Vindicator"), and I can play back some of the isolated tracks and talk about the recording/tracking/mixing/production or something. I always really dig it when other artists do that kind of thing (Devin Townsend with "Supercrush!" from Addicted! and "Gato" from Ki for example), so I figured there may be some interest in the case of 7H7E as well. Granted, there's not near as much crazy stuff going on as Devin likes to pack into his songs, but do any of you have any questions you would want me to answer or mix/production related topics you'd be interested to hear me touch on (based on the material you've heard so far)? If I'm going to do it, I'd rather try to keep it as relevant as possible to what everyone is interested in hearing me talk about, so feedback would be helpful at this point :Spin:

I don't have any specific questions honestly. I'd love to see a run down of the whole chain though.

I've been listening to Vindicator all day on YouTube all over again. I'm really impressed with it. It sounds great and the music is super tasteful and well played. Not OVER PLAYED which I find to be a huge issue these days.

This is some of the first material I've heard in recent times I actually enjoyed and was able to disconnect the AE side of my brain and just listen. Good job.

I always like hearing raw vs. processed, especially when it comes to EQ on guitars and bass. I'd love to hear the raw tracks, then a quick description of how/why you EQ'd to fit things in the mix.

I am really digging the amount of overall ambience to everything. It really gives the song a very dark feel and I fuckin' love it!!!! Not a fan of the kick or snare but that is just a matter of taste. Lovin' the toms however. Also the reverb on the snare has a little too much high-end and kinda short tail for me.....kinda splatty for lack of a better word. I would prefer a darker verb that was more roomy with a longer tail. It fits the mix very well though. Overall great job on the production!

Great music as well. I love how it is just down-tempo heavy awesomeness. Fuck yeah!!!! I will definitely keep an eye out for the release.

This song has in an intesense atmosphere, thus making it really sound big/dark and powerfull. I think I won't be able to handle an album full with this stuff, so I'm really curious to the rest of the songs. Anyhow I will for sure buy this album! Allready any details on a time of release?
