7 string blackouts vs EMG 81-7 comparison

I made a comparison video on YT of two active pickups:

I hope you like it, I personally like the EMG just a bit more.

Blackouts seem to be a bit more dynamic and have more character to them. I would have been interested in a comparison between the Blackouts and EMG-X series. Thanks for the video.

In my own tests they were more dynamic as well. Here's a wave file comparison I made of the 6 string versions:

I still seem to prefer the EMG for most things I do though, but the Blackouts are nice, just in a different way.

@Terminus you need the 18v mod badly. That EMG's clipped like nobodies business.

TBH I hardly use the guitar that i put the emg in just for the test, main one is the blackout but yeah planned on that heh

I'd like to add, It's just 9 volts I'm using here.
Surprisingly those Blackouts are really nice too, but still I prefer the EMG.
