$700 for a TripleXXX : Is it worth it?

I odn;t understand that question or th elogic of even asking if it is worth it. Used 5150s and 6505s got for around 600 on the bay, and are usually a hit or miss if something is wrong with them while a brand new one costs 1000. A XXX costs, 1300 brand new, so a normal XXX used price should be the same, maybe a but more than a used 5150/6505 consideirng the resale market favors the 6505/5150, but the supply/demand shoudn't be that crazy to change the avaerage price byt a bout +/- $100.

But considering the new to used market for both amps, buying a $700 XXX is a pretty reasonable price. Hell that is almost half the price of a brand new pne by $50

this reads completely crazy, but the end result is supply and demand is what drives the used market. Fact is, XXX's don't seem to be as heralded as many other amps, so they don't go for too much. IMO, in cases like this, the price for the amp new means nothing. It's all about what someone else is willing to pay on the used market. With Peavey being a big company, finding a used, anything Peavey isn't too hard, so with that flood of product comes a lower price point...Pretty simple.

If you can get the amp pretty easily for 550-600, why pay 700?

i'd buy and use a XXX willingly...but not for $700

there was one here at a local pawn shop, listed at $600...could've probably talked it down to $500 if you tried
