I know these nostalgic moments, the best way to cure that is to reactivate your old machine or download one of those emulators 'cause then you will suddenly realize how crappy the graphics were. Always works for me. The music still rules though.

i had a commodore 64
but that counts as quite modern...the second half of 1980s

yep commodre had tapes

it would take around 20-25 minutes to load a game hahaha

it would say on the screen: "loading...000" and count up to 600-700...very slowly

it would be worth the wait, though

yeah and then you played for half an hour and it overheated

yeah i remember, my neighbour had a commodore 64, and i had and atari 520ST, and mine was much faster. those tapes were really awful, by the time it finished to load, you wouldnt want to play anymore.

That's why I was so glad when I got my Atari 1024STE .I think it was the first computer to use floppy disks. Or was it an Amiga ?

haha, we had the comodore too. always something wrong with the casette player...

as i said, you'll need an emulator for playing commodore or atari games on your pc. it's not hard to find (gooooogle)
