listening to maiden constantly, i had noticed that bruce mentions his father alot. i think he had a bad relationship or something cos these parts usually have violent overtones or have some kind of unhappy message. a few songs that come right off the top of my head are: Back From the Edge, Headswitch (like father like son, chop off the head but the body lives on). and Road to Hell (father forgive me my sins, give me the nails, I'll hammer them in). not only this, but i found out his parents were very young, around 19 when he was born, and they had tried an abortion yet failed. (thank the fuckin heavy metal gods or there would be no maiden, and many other bands!!). this may be the basis of his solo song and album title Accident Of Birth. just some interesting stuff i had jsut pieced together, and felt like sharing.
