1. How about getting the mighty Tommy Vance on board to introduce the bands. Would be great to hear and see him at Bloodstock.

2. Now the event selling out, any chance of arranging for the bar up the top of the stairs on the balcony to be open?

Would be cool - but isn't he in retirement in Spain these days.

Guess there's always Krusher :)

Calling it Boddingtons was the joke, not the price!!!! As far as big gig prices go, the Assembly Rooms isn't that badly priced IMO.

Must admit, I didn't even notice there was a bar by the balcony while I was there, but seeing as they won't actually let you bring any drinks onto the balcony with you is there any point having it???

A few other suggestions:

1. Decent lager, Stella is mingin especially when it is warm and flat like it was at 03.

2. Free water at the front row of the crowd. There isnt a venue in glasgow that would dream of not giving out water at the front row.

3. More single women. Sure a metal gig isnt the best place to pick up chicks but when you've you've just split up with your girlfriend after 2 years and just about every gilr there has a man growing out their hand it can be pretty depressing :p

Face it, all lager is minging :) Some Westons blue cider would go down a treat, though. However, I suspect the range of drinks is due to the arrangements made by the venue, not the promoter, so whatever we may want, we're not likely to have much influence.

And free water? Did you really think it was hot enough to warrant it? Even down at the front for Masterplan and Edguy, I wasn't even close to getting too hot.

Just thought I'd answer this one, as I work for the UK's largest drinks distributer. ;)

It isn't quite as easy as you might think to just chop and change beer brands. It is most certainly possible, but the venue may be tied in to stocking certain beers either contractually, in order to gain cheaper prices, or as a result of its supplier who may not sell certain brands.

There is also the issue of setting up the cellar with the new beers, which if they're only going to be sold for a couple of days, is rather pointless.
