First of all, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all of you!!!
I don't post here to often but, I do keep up with the PP happenings & would like to share with my metal community a poem that our singer Steve came up with at our last show! Our band 'OPEN FIRE' plays 80's Metal covers as well as songs by bands such as Sinner, Pink Cream 69 and Shakra! It's great intoducing people to these bands by actually playing their songs live!!!
Anyway, he came up with this poem and he had the crowd 'in stitches'!!!
It goes to the poem '"The Night Before Christmas":
Twas the night before metal Christmas,
And all through the house,
We were snuggled warm and cozy as if in Lita Ford’s blouse
Our spandex were hung by the chimney with care...
In hopes that Metal Santa soon would be there.
Suddenly, out in the driveway there arose such a clatter...
That I put on my codpiece to see what was the matter..
and there in the driveway a strange sight did appear...
An 84 black van filled with metal gods drinking beer...
On Ozzy, On Vixen, On Cinderella, And Crue
On Def Leppard, Ratt and Iron Maiden too..
I gaped for awhile and then turning around...
Down the chimney Metal Santa had come with a bound...
He was small dressed in Spandex and his shirt just said ELF...
And I laughed for awhile in spite of myself
New guitars for Nando and Dmac...Aqua Net for Dave...
A razor for Jason who’d been needing a shave...
Then raising his fingers like the horns of a demon...
He shot up the chimney like some fireplace semen
but I heard him exclaim, like some spandex-troll-child
A Metal Christmas to all, of you---- Youth...Gone....Wild!.. Hope you enjoyed it---great stuff!!!
