Hi guys,
I need your opinions on the mix.

Some background: I've only been mixing this thing and had no input on the recording. What I do know is that the guitars were recorded with ReValver; the bass sound is two DI tracks (Ampeg and SansAmp) + I doubled one of them to get the distortion going on; the drums have just a pair of OH's for the cymbals, no separate mic for the hi-hat; the kick and the snare is replaced.
The whole thing is very quiet, because I haven't attempted any DIY mastering.
So far I don't like the vocals, they're kind of muffled despite the extensive EQ (so I like to think).
The band is insisting to have the bass up front, as you're going to hear, and I'm having a hard time to agree with them on this. Also, how do you like its sound? I guess I'm not very convinced with what I've come up with.
So I have two main problem areas: vocals and bass. Tell me please what they need to make them better. Or just any other ideas. I'd be grateful for checking them on some quality monitors (that's what I'm lacking for sure).
