A night to remember

Well, you said " A Night to remember" so besdies the nice pics, was this a particularly severe storm, or did you just manage to get some good pics of an average storm?

Great pics,

Oh I see. Well if you're into weather stuff I can tell a lot about it.
Actually it was 'a big set' of severe storms, which came after two weeks of hot weather. We had a lot of rain, too. I am into this for at least 6 or 7 years. And something like that happens maybe once in 2 years. So many storms and lightnings in one night isn't so often here.
As I said, if are into meteorological stuff I can show you some radar and satelites pics.

really a nice night to remember, even with so great pics I took with my new camera!

How did you nail the strikes so well? Did the bolts actually hang around for a while so you could snap quick pics off? Most unusual.

i've been drooling over that canon camera for some time now but if i'm to be a realist it's apparent that it's too expensive :|
think i'll go with minolta dimage a1 instead

(ah yes, exposures is what you call it in english hehe)

Man those are some really good pics there. Well done indeed. We had some lightening this week but nothing like that. I've always wanted to get some decent pictures of it but i'll be needing a good camera first!

@spaffe: yeah, its damn expensive. I pay 1200€ for it, but believe me its totally worth of that money ;) I suggest you to wait some more time to get more money, cameras will loose some of their prices, or think of getting Minolta A1 yes or Nikon cameras. Those are really good, too.

@Lord SteveO: thanks! actually you could do a decent pic with basic cameras too, just the exposure time is problem.

Woohoo, congratulations on your new Camera Marko. Looks like you have found a great vantage spot for all things weathery. :) There was a storm in the next State a few days ago, they had 1800 strikes but it never made it here. Thanks for posting link to your pics, have fun.
