A recent interview with the re-formed ONSLAUGHT

Thought this might very well interest some of you old-school folk. As you might know, ONSLAUGHT from the UK have re-formed, I just found this here new interview with them:

I think just about every last 80's thrash band has reformed at this point

Thought I recognised the name. Don't know anything about the band but remembered seeing the name 'cause Fourwaykill are supporting them on 25th of this month. Are they worth checking out?

Actually, these guys had some good albums. Power From Hell was one, and they changed on the next one called the Force. A little more produced etc. I used to listen to that first one a lot. This was around the time of the advent of thrash, but then again right when it was getting saturated. I had the LP version of Power From Hell, gotten through mail order or something. I was a fan for a short time, but not much ever came of them.

I can still sing the Chorus to the title track in my head, and I remember a instrumental called Mighty Empress, (and a two parter called Skull Crusher) but that's about it. Ha. Soundwise I'd call them a mix between power and thrash.

I loved "In Search of Sanity." Seve Grimmett of Grim reaper fame was the vocalist on that one. Awesome album. I had another one as well, but forget the title. It wasn't as good as the one with Grimmett on vox.
