A stupid guitar question...

intonation is when all your frets sound in tune with the string... if you hit an open E string, it should be an E on your tuner, and hit the 12th fret it should also be an E... its so when you're playing you sound in tune with yourself all the time

k thanks man. So if I was tuning for intonation, for E would I like hit the 12th fret on the E string and check the tuner to see if its in tune?

haha ^ happy days, does it matter if you use the natural harmonic or the fretted note on 12? I think i read you must use the harmonic
no, you have to use the fretted note... thats the point of intonation, your frets will sound in tune, your harmonics are going to sound in tune regardless.
