a world without google

google is god. he knows about everything. Including the naked pic of ur sister

Fuck Yahoo.

On a different note, I'm getting a little tired of people being paranoid about Google... because GMail keeps proper backups and archives. If you are at all concerned with security - or really think that someone will be snooping through any of your stuff for any reason at all ever - and you don't know what GPG is, you're a failure. Your lips should be stapled shut until you figure out how to encrypt anything you consider important instead of counting on everyone else to take care of your stupid bullshit.

How about a pathetic, destined-to-fail attempt at finding something resembling relevance in a system already too dependent on competence for any such illusions to be found?

Jeff
ok i get the point

Jeff, it's not GMail people are concerned about, it's the fact that Google Chrome caches and indexes password-protected web pages if they have been visited using said browser. And there's proof of that :) Then again, Internet Explorer has been doing the same for years, only without showing the cached pages to the entire world so... well... screw it :D

I am addicted to street view. I'm serious.

I get that every time I walk out of my house.
It kicks ass most of the time, unless a really fat ugly chick happens to be walking past when I step outside the front door:erk:

I agree Google is the best! even more so how they are celebrating sesame street today! goooo cookie monster!!!!
Bing is a fucking piece of shit, for some reason my laptop started to default to it and it was friggen annoying as it didn’t work!!!
yahoo is only ever good or acceptable when Google is off line which is hardly ever - apart from when I was doing an assignment last week and I could not get any information! but that could have just been my slow connection dam weather... enough said! Google all the way and I would be soo lost with out it literally!

That's one reason why I'm annoyed at people who whine about GMail - there are too many *actual* things to be concerned about. All things considered, though, it's not like they haven't opened Chrome up to let other people take their good moves and do what they want with them...

No i agree that bing is shit. I dont understand why microsoft bothered launching it. Google is light years away in terms of development and establishment.

Hey Jeff,
maybe you can explain this for me,
i've noticed that when i log into gmail, in many cases the "Google Ads" or "Sponsored Links" or whatever they call them, will be directly related to the content of my most recent email correspondence.

for example, i got an email from a buddy titled "Check this out", the contents of the email were about a recent flu outbreak in Ukraine, and the Sponsored Links were all advertising flights to Ukraine and various other related things.

is that not a bit worrying? :)
i don't mind the backups, but they have programs scanning the contents of my email? what else are they doing with this info?
