AAF files ?

hi to everyone, i just receive a project for mixing, from what i know it was tracked in pro tools, but the file it's a .AAF, so i really don't know how to open it.
i look for info, but i couldn't find much.

someone know more about this ??

What DAW are you using?

AFAIK .aaf is a container format which encapsulates specific meta data (session data) along with the actual audio/video. It's more common with video editing I guess...

And AFAIK If you're using Pro Tools you have to get a pricey plug-in (surprise, surprise) like DigiTranslator or DV Toolkit to be able to import these files. Nuendo should do this without a hazzle... not sure about Cubase...
