I´ve tried this amp and the Peavey Jsx yesterday, If both are compared, The B-52 kicks the jsx butt, more clarity, more gain, more volume, I like it, and is cheap ($650 Dlls). i think is a great choice for the low budget guys (like me), Recto-like sounding and this thing is LOUD!!!

Anyone tried it? (i´ve used the search function, but i did´nt find anything)

For some reason, a lot of people hate on that head. I'm pretty sure it is because of the price (very low) and brand (B-52?!?!).

Anywhore... I've played through that head quite a bit and really like it - it's ridiculous for the money at $699 brand new. It's a very nice high gain tube head, period. It may not be built as well as its $1800 brothers, and perhaps is not as road worthy, but its certainly studio worthy.

A buddy of mine who is a well known author/has a recurring monthly column in a well known guitar mag just did a shoot-out of several diff amps for his new studio. Recto-flabby-bottoms, JCM2K'ss, and the at100 among others. Of all the amps, he kept the $699 AT100 and returned the rest.

If you like it, go for it. You will not get any respect from most dix because it does not say Peavey or Mesa on it, but fuck 'em all anyways. =)
