I was wondering is he fully swedish since he has a completely finnish name? Is he like half finnish or just has finnish relatives or what? In the site it says born in Stockholm and lives in Stockholm. Dunno...Thx already.

Hooray! Yet another great guitarist is from finland. Still, why is he born and living in Sweden? Well, maybe he's living there becouse of the band. It's great to know there is some finnish blood in the almighty Amon Amarth. Great news, thanks!

As many other finnish people Ollis pears moved to Sweden in the sixties/seventies.
In the past AA had a finnish drummer also (Niko).

As far as I know the band Scum, that later became Amon Amarth, consisted of a pure finnish lineup: Olli, Niko, Puppe (Themgoroth of Dark Funeral) and you (fatso). Pettri of Eternal Oath used to be filling in on bass. Fortunately some Swedes joined the band eventually...
:kickass:

Yea, Alexi Laiho is great guitar player. Also Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius), Andy McCoy (Hanoi Rocks), Roope Latvala (Sinergy) and many many more.

Yeah maybe, I just feel very at home in Skåne and love the people there. My moms entire family is from there as well.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, it was when the Swedes entered things started to go better for the band. Better songs, better musicians, better English (it's "probably", you idiot) and better bandname... What more do I have to say fatty? Sweden Rocks - finland... doesn't... ;)

LOL That was hillarious!!! Crazy. There are lots of Finnish people in Sweden and I know a lot of people there that are half Finnish and half Swedish, even though they are supposed to get along (so they say). BWHAHAHAHA Maybe it's only the crazy ones that get along well. :D

Fuck that, all Scandi's hate each other and it's so silly, why don't we bomb ourselves to death Israel/Palestine style...

No, we don't.
We have a brother type of love.
Yes, we fight but we still love each other except Finland.
They don't even want to be a part scandinavia.

Finland and Sweden are just always competing, we dont really hate each other. Swedes are cool(just as long as Finland wins in ice hockey, hehe), they make good music.
