Accept confirmed for ProgPower USA

Yes I am. I have seen Accept live more than 18 times. Just after the release of Breaker I met "Metal" Mike van Rijswijk and he and I became good friends in a short time.

With him I followed the live shows of Accept whenever they played in The Netherlands, the western part of Germany and Belgium between 1981 and 1983.

When I saw this youtube:

I really got excited. Mike does not believe this is going to be a good deal but I do.

So yes, I am very excited and when I have the chance I will be seeing them. I'll also get the album for sure.

I really like the vocals of Mark Tornillo. Also they will focus on the Breaker/Restless and Wild period. For me the best Accept period.

Anyway I will be great to meet Peter, Stefan and especially Wolf again.

The band’s lineup consists of:

Mark Tornillo – Vocals
Wolf Hoffmann – Guitars
Herman Frank – Guitars
Peter Baltes – Bass
Stefan Schwarzman – Drums

Indeed this is Accept. All the members are real Accept members accept Mark. But then this is Accept not UDO.

It's going to be killer, Especially since they will be playing new material and lots of songs from the Breaker/Restless and Wild period.

Very good choice Harvester!

Maybe I didn´t explain it well.

IN MY OPINION, Accept is Udo + Wolf. Without any of them, there´s no reason for Accept. They tried it in "Eat the heat". Personally I consider it´s a very good album but it´s not Accept.

I respect what you´re saying. Just we have different opinions about that issue.

And not, Hawk, I´m not an U.D.O. fan. I like U.D.O. but they´re far from Accept magic but that magic was build (again, in my opinion) with Udo+Wolf.

I hope they release a good record and be sure that I´ll be there just for listening Wolf´s guitar playing but I can´t change my mind.

I've been a fan of the Inevitable Accept since Metal Heart. I am glad they are coming back and as long as riffmeister Hoffmann is in that's all that really matters to me. Tornillo sounds decent enough in the classic tracks and I am happy for all of you that will be seeing them. Rock on you Midnight Movers!! :headbang:

Cool. Thanks for explaining. I understand. :kickass:

I totally agree with Marco. Wolf made a huge mistake reforming Accept without Udo. This band is not Accept, period!

(I 'll probably attend their show if they come to my city, though)

More excited than Scabratt which you were whoring earlier

Get real though. Every band can have Scab attached to it. Scaboween, Scabmass, Scabmorphis, Scab Saint, Scab Maiden, Scab Purple, Scabs Sabbath, Scabsnake, Scab Tranquillity, Scab Earth, Scabdeth, Scab Kobra, Scab Jam, Scab Priest, Scabforce etc etc etc.

Anyway, surprised to see an old school band headlining Thursday night. It might be too much for the young proggy froggies though. Maybe one day Vanden Plas can get a visa. Or not.

Glad I'm seeing Accept in New York (CD release party) as I won't give the current promoter any of my cash ever again. Once he quits, I might go back though.

I'm not all that excited about Scabccept?! Are you?!

I'm excited for both but this is funny.

I'll be there too in NYC on May 8th. I cannot wait. This will be my first time seeing them. They were really the only band I missed (and kept missing) back in the day.

I did happen to see TT Quick a handful of times in very small clubs. Great live band.

...and according to Wolf and everyone else I've heard interviewed about the subject, Udo WAS ASKED to participate and TURNED IT DOWN. He had no interest in what he termed " a reunion", and did not want to risk what he has with UDO (whatever that means). Personally, I think Udo solo is pretty weak, but you can't fault the rest of the band for moving on...

If Accept can produce a album full of stuff like that Youtube sample I'll be very happy with that. Far better than the last albums with Udo and certainly superior to his solo albums !!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This kicks serious ass. I have been waiting for this forever. If someone could sneak Vanden Plas into the US, this would be the greatest show ever !! I am totally stoked !!!!!
