Well, I'm sure that some of the labels he has been dealing with cover bands that you enjoy also. So, at some point it will bite you also.

I just find it a bit fishy that things are so bad that Labels/artists are stiffing him on payments. If the industry IS that bad then something has to change asap.

That sucks, but props to him for getting a real stable job. I think being able to work on your own OR for a business at your own discretion is one mark of a true artist.
