For sure it was not metal concert. Probably this music and atmosphere created by Danny and Vincent on Saturday evening in Proxima Club in Warsaw could be played in the theatre with just the lights of the candles . Very personal and beatiful set of songs. Before the gig the short statement from Daniel and Vinny was read reminding acoustic character of the concert. And I believe that the audience met their expectations :)
They started from Fragile Dreams followed by Deep, Forgotten Hopes, Destiny Is Dead, Pressure, A fine Day To Exit, Temporary Peace, Judgement, Inner silence, One Last Goodbye and 1 song from the latest album. As a nice surprise there ws also short version of Desperado played by Vinny, two The Beatles covers and as encore Wish You Were Here (probably there was something more but I can't remember :()
Both Anathema members really looked to enjoy the party talking during the breaks between the songs with the audience and with ........ the elephant ;) Vinny was able even to show his dancing skills haha.
Unfortunately A Natural Disaster is still not available in Poland :((( so people gave their applause mainly to the all old hits rather than to new stuff.
According To Danny new live dvd will be recorded during January gigs in Cracov and it created additional enthusiasm of whole crowd.
To sum up - fantastic music for grey and dark polish automn played unplugged which made some of them even better than in electric versions. I look forward to see them live in two months and I hope that they enjoyed this gig at least as much as I did.

I'm not sure it's available in Denmark either, haven't checked lately though.

Nice to hear impressions from the gigs, it might be that you don't have the album in Poland, but you have the band all the time.

oh, we had to wait about 3 years until they come again (they wasn't here after AFDTE), but i think it's not coincidence that they play here quite often, they have here quite many zealous and loyal fans, though i don't know how many of them are posers actually. for example, i was pissed off, when (in warsaw) i wanted to focus on a song and was distracting but still talking people around. some people lack respect.

This's exactly what I wrote in my review of the gig in polish but in fact this's regular behaviour at every concert. YOu can't expect people just to stand and listen to the music as eventually this is rock concert not filharmony...

Yeah you can, it's acoustic so little talk can be a big distraction. It ain't too hard, actually. All people have to do is keep their own mouth shut, shouldn't take too much effort. I get annoyed at the movies with the same kind of people too. Why there always seem to be such important issues that have to be discussed right away and not two hours later?

i agree with you crack hitler. it's a kind of disrespect showed to the band. im ahsamed of my compatriots in warsaw. i haven't noticed similar behaviour in krakow and wroclaw anyway.

well, based on some comments I've read it was worse in Krakow.... I agree that these chats in the audience could be irritating but please do not exaggerate pls. Once again: this is not theatre but rock concert. One can listen to the music and another can drink beer in the bar.

I don't know English well, so I just want to say that it was beautiful gig and also very funny. Vinny and Danny have incredible sence of humor :)
