Alright, I tried to search before I posted this, so don't murder me for a repeated thread 
. I've become curious as to how people who do song mash-ups acquire all the separate tracks (vocals, instruments) of the songs they use. How would one go about doing this?
I've heard some pretty cool mash-ups, and have been inspired to do some of my own in the vein of straight-up metal (not the rap/rock Girl Talk style). I figured that being I have nothing to mix/edit at the moment, I should get some practice (the fun way).
