still though, it may be worth dishing out a few extra bucks for the a7`s

Haha, if you consider $300 a few extra bucks (cuz they have A5's without the piano black finish for $350 apiece), then yeah, I guess the A7's are the better bet! Still though, it's difficult to imagine spending that much on a monitor with a 5" driver, but I guess they're meant to be like the Genelec 8020's and KRK VXT4's - incredibly high quality, with the only sacrifice being bass response and power/headroom

I doubt they'll be really close soundwise to the a7's. I guess their main advantage is they are quite mobile and also suitable for really small spaces.
