adding smack to thi snare?

trying to work on the Addictive Drums without internal comp etc. but it seems it needs moooore smack, tried with Rcomp , Gclip but this is the result.. any idea?

maybe a little less mic on the snare bottom. change the EQ ever so slightly if you end up missing some body, nothing drastic though.

Reduce bottom and use something similar to LA-2A with peak reduction. If you own UAD DSP card, use metioned plug and mess around a little. Adding some reverb with predelay around 50 ms might help sometimes (or tweak a little 'till you find out settings that suites best to you)

thx ! i own an amazing integrated realtek so no features like that (just unwanted noise), ill try to mix the two tips and see what happens..
