Hey guys, heres a quick mix i did (no vocals) it lacks that umph but i always figured its because of some of the kit i am using.
Heres the mix: http://soundcloud.com/caldrums/test-track
I think some of the things that are holding the quality back are old Guitar strings combined with a very beginner guitar (gould les paul) i've heard a few people with mix's on here that are using pod farm and their tones sound huge. Is it my equipment or am i just missing something obvious? i used to quad track but now i only double track as im a drummer and not a guitarist so the quality of my playing isnt amazing.
Any and all advice welcome
