After all the hype, are SSD CLA and Terry Date expansions worth it?

I see that these are on sale right now for $79. What are your thoughts on these now that you've owned them for awhile?

Also, can someone tell me how big the downloads are? How much disk space do I need?
I can't find this info anywhere!

Thanks!

I bought SSD4 Platinum with the classic and deluxe samples, and then bought the CLA expansion, though don't have the Terry Date expansion.

Although the CLA expansion sound really good, they are processed and the sound you hear in the demos, is the sound you get and can't really alter or EQ that much. That's not a bad thing, because that's exactly the point with the expansion pack, but the best way to decide whether or not to get the expansion packs is if the demos sound like the drum kit that you want - if they don't, then you're probably not going to use them.

I normally like to start with a clean slate on a mix, so raw deluxe sounds work better for me, and I don't find myself using the CLA expansion pack that much, and is why I didn't bite on the Terry Date expansion - they sound damn good, but I can't see myself using those kits for one of my songs.

For the record, I have both CLA and Terry Date packs. The Date pack is much less processed than the CLA one and it sounds even better IMO. They really are top notch samples!

Slate CLA is pretty much the only thing I use anymore. Sounds fucking epic, and takes compression and EQ very well *shrug*.

I'm kinda intrigued with the TD expansion, but I hate all of the snares I've heard in the kits :(

Is the TD expansion still $79 somewhere? I see it at $99 on the SSD site...

More samples is more samples, always useful.

If I took the day off to stay here at home and sample a kit, which would end up sounding shit in comparison, it would cost me more than $10 from not working that day and even more from all the time taken to chop it all up and process it etc... It's absolutely worth it.
