Formed in 2008 and hailing from Windsor, Ontario... Weapon of Choice finally recorded and released our first EP at Spectre Sound Studios. Though formed in 2008, we lost our original drummer and spent 2009 writing and searching for a replacement... which we ultimately found, and also found that this will be our permanent lineup.
Striving for an aggressive tone and speed without losing that solid swing and groove behind it all... we decided to get our feet wet without tempo maps and push out a 5 song EP in under a week. Overall results were pleasing... but the mission is far from over.
We strive for a pure North American sound from bands like Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, Slayer, Pantera and Megadeth. Also, we really appreciate newer bands like Children of Bodom, Sylosis and Baptized in Blood. Although we're totally different songwriters and have two guitarists in the band who are totally influenced by different idols, so the future of variety looks promising.
Our live shows are gaining more and more followers... and female followers at that!
