ah drum help!

i typically attract grunge alt type of bands and i got a metal band in that wants to have super punchy drums like these i explained to him that the drummer is playing clean and fast as to where he played slow [and clean after we quantized ] but i dont know how to get that crazy puchy kick like he has here i used that "best kick in the world sound and tried compressing it with a slower attack and release but it still sounds stupid in my mix [the sample is awesome though]. any ideas on what i could possibly do. oh and the snare we have is a joke any one got a nice metal sample to share? i cant get the ones from erikan to download correctly

haha i thought the vox sounded cool i dunno... i mean not that i specially like the way the vox is used in the song but... it sounds good to me. Maybe it's the shitty headphones from my office but, is it me or the kick is so damn clicky it kinda buries the snare?... i mean in the tatatattatatattatattata part

Wow, what a crap song. Seems like it's wrote just for the sake of sounding heavy so that them guys can think that they're hard. Does anyone else think the drums totally don't fit the rest of the song at 0.50?

I'll agree with the OP that the drum sound there isn't going to work on a slow drumming at all.
