I covered 'Them Bones' a couple of years ago, and also started work on this back then but totally forgot about it. Anyway, finished off the last couple of bits today for fun.

I'm well aware it's a little too hot and clips in places (most noticable at the start).

Feel free to rate/slate the mix, tones, performance or whatever else... I mostly did it for fun because I love playing the middle riff at 1:09.

Share the guitar chain or the bunny gets it!!! Great performance all around. :)

Guitar was a Gibson Les Paul Standard with stock pick ups into an Axe fx2.

Quadtracked guitar - the hardpanned 100 L&R guitar parts were using a match I made with the Friedman HBE amp. The 80 L&R guitar used the Corncob amp, but with lower gain and more mids.

And thanks :)

Ah, the good ol' match eq :) Yeah, thanks!

Nope - no match EQ involved I'm afraid! Just got a similarish sound by ear, and it really needed both different tones to sound a bit AiC-ish. The HBE patch was bit too scooped and heavy on it's own, and then Corncob was a bit weak, ungained and middy - but they seemed to gel quite nicely together :)

I actually haven't figured out how to use the match EQ function yet - I really want to though because I'd like to try and get something for Pantera's Slaughtered amongst other things.

I liked the snare. Solid sound with good attack. What it was ?

Cheers!

It was a mix of about 4 different snares - 3 of Lasse's (LSD drums) I think, plus Slate's Zep room snare mixed in. Then a little bit of tweaking with MH channel strip and a CLA76 comp.
