AirTran services Atlanta and just announced a decent sale, but you have to buy by tomorrow....

* Book your tickets by March 11, 2010, at 11:59 pm ET.
* Travel to and from Florida, San Juan, Aruba, Montego Bay, and Cancun is valid from April 6 through November 16, 2010.
* Travel to all other destinations is valid through November 16, 2010.
* 10-day advance purchase required.
* Lowest sale fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
* Additional sale fares are valid for travel on Fridays and Sundays.
* Blackout dates for all markets are as follows: April 2-3; May 28, 31; June 18-20, 25-27; July 2-3, 5, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, 30-31; and August 1, 6-8, 2010.
* If you are unable to locate a particular fare, try searching on different travel dates or times, as fares are subject to availability and sell out quickly.

A lot of airlines must be having similar sales. I picked the cheapest flights between Atlanta and Chicago at AirTran, and then did the same on Expedia.com. On Expedia I could mix/match flights from AirTran, United, American, Delta, and US Airways, and got the same price AirTran was offering. Hopefully not all of these sales end tomorrow.

Well, flights from El Paso are still high, unfortunetly we don't have Airtran. Hoping the costs go down soon.

$191. Plus I'm going to be gouged $30 for baggage when I check in. Not bad, but not the lowest I have paid. Still, much better than the next lowest airline, which would have been over $300.

Ahhh.. after a 3 year PP break I managed to book flights for this year's show for myself and the still-a-PP-virgin girlfriend! Orbitz.com had a super cheap flight deal on for these KLM flights and we're flying Helsinki->San Francisco (to spend a few days there since never been to the west coast before) and Atlanta->Helsinki for only 526 euros/person (716 USD)! Yeah that's still missing the SF-Atlanta flight but it's easily the best US flight deal I ever got :)

Check out United. You can get as low as $125pp one way but the flight times aren't the best (don't arrive in Atlanta until 10 at night)

Airtran is $150pp.

And don't forget that most US airlines now charge for bags. :-/
